1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Resume AI Pro ("we", "us", "our", or the "Service"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our resume building application at https://resume.ekatra.space, and at its earlier address https://resume-builder-flame-one-65.vercel.app while that is still served (together, the "Website").

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using it, you confirm that you are and that you can enter into these Terms.

1.2 Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the application interface, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The version number and "Last Updated" date above indicate when the Terms were last revised.

2. Description of Service

Resume AI Pro is a browser-based application that helps you create, edit, and manage professional resumes and cover letters. It includes:

  • Resume and cover letter creation and editing
  • AI-powered content generation and improvement suggestions
  • Import and export (PDF, Word, JSON)
  • Templates and design customization
  • A resume score and a job-match score (our own estimates; see 3.2)
  • Job description analysis and career positioning
  • A job application tracker (it syncs with your account when you sign in, as your plan allows)
  • Saved versions of your resumes
  • Free accounts (needed to download a PDF or Word file) with sync across your devices, and device-to-device transfer
  • Public share links
  • Optional paid passes, Pro and Ultra (Section 4A)

3. Disclaimers & Limitations

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Please read this section carefully — it consolidates the key limitations that apply throughout these Terms. The formal warranty disclaimer and liability cap are in Sections 8 and 9.

3.1 AI Output Is Not Reliable or Professional Advice

The Service uses third-party AI (including Google's Gemini) — through our Managed AI proxy or directly with your own key — to generate, parse, and analyze content. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or "hallucinations," and AI parsing may miss, misinterpret, or incorrectly format information.
  • AI suggestions are not professional career, legal, or financial advice.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated or AI-assisted content before using it in any professional capacity. We disclaim liability for consequences arising from your use of that content.

3.2 No Employment Guarantees

Nothing in the Service — including AI features, scores, keyword matching, or content improvement — guarantees job interviews, offers, or employment; positive reception by recruiters or hiring managers; how any employer's applicant tracking system will read your resume; or compliance with any employer's requirements. Our scores are our own estimates of completeness and keyword match; no website can know what a particular employer's system will do.

3.3 Your Data and Backups

Your resume data is stored in your browser and is subject to the limits of that storage (see Section 4 for how optional features may transmit or store your content). Browser storage is not permanent — it can be lost through browser issues, clearing your cache, or device failure. Keep backups (JSON download, or sign in to keep a copy in your account: 1 resume on Free, more with a pass (Section 4A)). We are not responsible for data loss.

3.4 Service Availability and Compatibility

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that exports will maintain perfect formatting across all systems, or that the Service will be compatible with every browser, device, or operating system. A modern browser on a computer works best.

3.5 Exports and Imports

  • The Service is built for resumes in English. Other scripts (for example Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Devanagari or Thai) and emoji may not appear correctly in a PDF.
  • A long resume may break across pages differently in the PDF than it looks on screen. Browser Print (on a computer) depends on your browser's print settings.
  • A Word file can look different in other versions of Word, in Google Docs, or without the same fonts installed.
  • Reading an existing resume file (import), with or without AI, can miss or misplace sections, dates and details, especially in columns, tables and scanned files.

Check every export and every imported resume before you rely on it.

3.6 Your Browser and Your Device

Anyone who can use your browser can see the resumes in it, and a browser extension may be able to read them. Private or incognito windows forget your data when they close. API keys you add are encrypted with a key kept in this browser: that protects a copy of the browser's storage taken elsewhere, not someone or an extension using this browser. Use your own device, and sign out on one you don't own.

3.7 Your Content and Changing Features

We do not check or verify what you write, and we do not endorse it. You are responsible for your use of the Service complying with the laws that apply to you. Features can change, be limited or be removed, and new features may have errors.

4. User Accounts and Data

4.1 Accounts

You can build and save resumes on your device without an account. The JSON backup and Print… (your browser's own Save as PDF, where your browser offers it) need no account either. Downloading a PDF or Word file needs a free account. A Free account includes 3 PDF downloads in total; Pro includes 15 a day; Ultra's PDF downloads are not counted. Word downloads are not counted on any plan.

You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email you, or with your Google account (both through our provider, Supabase). You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, for activity under your account, and for telling us promptly about any unauthorized access. You can delete your account at any time (Section 11.1).

4.2 Data Storage and Data Flow

By default, your resume data stays on your device in your browser's localStorage. Certain optional features, however, transmit your content to our servers or to third parties, and two of them store it. As described in our Privacy Policy:

  • Signing in stores the resumes you add to your account, and your job tracker (jobs, applications, the resumes sent with them, and contacts, which are encrypted on your device first), in our database so they appear on your other devices, as your plan allows.
  • Download PDF, the built-in AI, and job-link import send content to our own server functions for processing (not stored).
  • Your own AI key sends content directly to the AI provider you choose.
  • Public share links store your resume in our database, readable by anyone with the link until you delete it or it expires; moving data to another device stores an encrypted copy briefly; Google Drive uploads to your Drive.
  • Payments, opt-in analytics, and reviews are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

4A. Pro Pass and Ultra Pass

4A.1 What it is

Pro is a one-time purchase of a 30-day pass (currently ₹99, shown at checkout). While it lasts, it raises your allowance for the built-in AI from 3 daily AI uses to 20 daily AI credits. It does not renew automatically; buying again adds another 30 days. AI with your own key stays free on every plan. What else a pass changes (PDF downloads, synced resumes and jobs, share links) is set out in Section 4.1 and below.

  • You need to be signed in to buy and use Pro.
  • The built-in AI also has an overall daily limit shared by everyone. When it is reached, the built-in AI pauses for everyone, Pro included, until the next day; you can still use your own key.
  • Pro uses the same built-in AI as the free allowance, so the note in our Privacy Policy about Google's free tier applies to Pro too.

Ultra is a second one-time purchase of a 30-day pass (currently ₹199, shown at checkout). While it lasts, it raises your allowance for the built-in AI to 40 daily AI credits, and it includes everything Pro includes. Like Pro, it does not renew automatically; buying again adds another 30 days.

Resumes that sync to your account. On your own device you can keep as many resumes as you like on every plan. How many of them are also kept in your account, and so appear on your other devices, depends on the plan: 1 on Free, 15 with Pro, any number with Ultra. You choose which ones on the Account page. When a pass ends and more resumes are in your account than your plan syncs, the extra ones are put on hold, not deleted: they stay in your account and on your devices, they stop updating between devices, and they sync again when you buy a pass or switch another resume off. The job tracker follows the same rule: on Free, up to 3 jobs that are on your board (each with its 5 most recent Match Score or Career Analysis results, and the contacts saved on it) are kept in your account; with Pro up to 15 jobs; with Ultra there is no such limit. On your device the board has no limit: jobs over the number stay on your device and are not deleted. On the Account page you can also switch syncing off for the job tracker, its results history or its contacts.

Public share links. A link works for the time you choose when you make it (7, 30 or 90 days, or a year; a link made without an account: 7 or 30 days), unless you delete it sooner. You can update a link to show your current resume, pause it and turn it back on, or delete it. How many links can be live at once (an expired or deleted link does not count; a paused one does) depends on the plan: 3 on Free (and when not signed in), 15 with Pro, any number with Ultra; you can make up to 5 a day. Someone who has the link can download it as a PDF: for a link from an account with Pro or Ultra the PDF is made by our server, at most 5 a day per link and a daily total per account (75 with Pro, 150 with Ultra), and never uses that account's own PDF downloads; otherwise their browser's own print window is used. Links made while signed in are deleted with your account (they stop working when you ask for the deletion, and come back if you keep the account); links made while signed out stay until they expire or you delete them. Anyone who opens a link can report it; we may remove a link that breaks these Terms (section 5.2).

Daily AI uses and credits. On Free the built-in AI is counted in daily AI uses; with Pro or Ultra, in daily AI credits. On Free, every AI action is 1 AI use. With Pro or Ultra, an action uses credits by how much work it is for the AI: reading a resume you import uses 4; a Job Match check, a Career Analysis, an AI Critique, a cover letter or interview feedback uses 2; a rewrite or other piece of writing uses 1. One action counts once, even when it needs several steps. Credits refill at midnight India time, do not carry over to the next day, and cannot be bought.

One plan at a time. Your account is on Free, Pro or Ultra. From Free you can buy a Pro pass or an Ultra pass. While you are on Pro you can buy another Pro pass (30 more days) or upgrade to Ultra: you pay the difference between the two prices for the days left on your Pro pass (for example, with 20 of 30 days left, two thirds of the difference), and your pass becomes Ultra until the date it would have ended as Pro. While you are on Ultra you can buy another Ultra pass (30 more days). If the payment for an upgrade is refunded or reversed, the pass goes back to Pro for the days that remain.

  • Everything said about Pro in this section (signing in, the overall daily limit, the note about Google's free tier, payment, no refunds, changes) applies to Ultra in the same way.

4A.2 Payment

Payments are processed by Razorpay. You give your payment details to Razorpay, not to us. Pro starts as soon as the payment is confirmed.

4A.3 No refunds

Pro and Ultra passes are non-refundable, including for unused days. If you are charged without receiving the pass, write to us at resumeaipro@gmail.com with the payment ID and we will correct it. If a payment is refunded or reversed (for example after a dispute with your bank that the bank decides for you), the days that payment bought end. While a dispute is open, the pass keeps working.

4A.4 Changes

We may change the price or what Pro or Ultra includes for future purchases. A pass you have already bought keeps what it included when you bought it, for its 30 days.

5. User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct

5.1 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information in your resumes. You are solely responsible for the content you create and the claims you make in your resume materials.

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use the Service to:

  • Create resumes containing false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Include discriminatory, hateful, harassing, or illegal content
  • Violate any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Send spam with share links or publish someone else's resume without their permission
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service, its servers, or its infrastructure
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to abuse or overload the hosted Service
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

5.3 Consequences of Violation

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other conduct we deem harmful to the Service, our users, or third parties.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create using the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Process Your Content through our AI services (including the built-in AI) and third-party AI providers you select
  • Transmit Your Content to our servers and processors to render exports (e.g., server-side PDF), and store it when you sign in, create a public share link, or move data to another device
  • Temporarily cache Your Content for Service functionality
  • Display Your Content back to you within the application

This license terminates when you delete Your Content or stop using the Service.

6.2 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, its source code, design and content (other than Your Content) belong to us. The source code is not public at this time; when it is published, its license will be stated here and will govern the code. The name "Resume AI Pro", our logo and our branding belong to us; you may not use them without written permission or imply that anything else is the official Resume AI Pro.

6.3 AI-Generated Content Ownership

Once AI-generated content is delivered to you, you own it. However, similar or identical content may be generated for other users, so we make no guarantee of its uniqueness or originality, and you are responsible for ensuring it does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

7.1 Third-Party Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

  • Vercel: Hosting and serverless functions (server-side PDF rendering, the Managed-AI proxy, and the JD-URL proxy) — your content passes through these for those features
  • Google Gemini AI: Content generation/analysis (via Managed AI through our server, or directly with your own key)
  • Other AI providers (BYOK): OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, if you configure them
  • Google sign-in + Google Drive: Optional export
  • Supabase: Accounts and sign-in emails, synced resumes and job tracker, public share links, encrypted device transfers, opt-in analytics, and reviews
  • Razorpay: Payments for the Pro and Ultra passes
  • Upstash: Rate-limit counters
  • Google AdSense and Sentry: not active today; we will update our Privacy Policy before turning either on

Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of third-party services.

7.2 External Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of linked sites, or for any damages arising from your use of them.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR AVAILABILITY OF THE SERVICE OR OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT DATA WILL BE PRESERVED INDEFINITELY

The specific limitations described in Section 3 form part of this disclaimer.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

9.1 No Liability for Damages

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE, OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

  • Lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Employment-related losses (failed interviews, job rejections, career setbacks)
  • Damages resulting from use of, or inability to use, the Service
  • Damages resulting from AI-generated content errors or from data loss, corruption, or storage failure
  • Damages from third-party services or integrations

9.2 Cap on Liability

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ₹1,000.

9.3 Basis of the Bargain

These limitations reflect an allocation of risk and are a fundamental element of the basis of the bargain between you and us. The Service would not be provided without them.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us, our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Content you create, submit, or share using the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights (intellectual property, privacy, publicity)
  • False or misleading information in resumes you create
  • Your use of AI-generated content without proper review or verification

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Service at any time. To remove your data: delete your account (Account → Delete account; it is deleted after 14 days unless you sign in again to keep it), delete any public share links, clear the app's data in your browser (Reset All Data), and revoke Google Drive access in your Google Account if you used it.

11.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent/abusive/illegal activity, extended inactivity, or discontinuation or material modification of the Service.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your license to use the Service immediately ceases, data stored in localStorage remains until you clear it manually, and provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and indemnification survive.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

12.1 Governing Law

Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

12.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal legal action, you agree to first contact us at resumeaipro@gmail.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

12.3 Courts

If informal resolution fails, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service. Nothing in these Terms takes away a right you have under Indian consumer protection law, including to approach a consumer commission.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

13.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

13.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

13.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, natural disasters, or internet/telecommunications outages.

13.6 Export Control

You agree to comply with all applicable export and import control laws and regulations in your use of the Service.
